It seems like Froebel dominants the field of early childhood education in the 19th century world. His practices extended into China and Japan. His kindergarten philosophies and practices were used by both Asian countries prior to their immigration to the United States. Furthermore, once African Americans were treated more like equals and had the right to education, schools for their education were based on Froebel’s ideas as well. It seems that his ideas transcend nationality and the color of our skin. We as humans seek education for our children and not a generic worksheet or scripted education, but one that allows children to explore and adds a spiritual component to education.
